
Supply Chain Optimisation Specialist

Responsible for optimising procurement and vendor relationships to drive business savings and efficiency.
About the RoleThe Category Strategist will develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the best value from suppliers. This involves leading negotiations, managing spend, and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing spend in indirect categories across the business
- Developing and implementing category management strategies to deliver best value
- Implementing structured agreements with supply chain partners
- Assisting in the identification and implementation of regional supply chains
- Negotiating and finalising supplier agreements
- Reviewing margin and ETS reports to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Assisting in the development of product and pricing information for promotional activities
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with supply chain partners
- Collaborating with internal teams, including Estimating, Finance, and Construction
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as building or construction
- Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent process review and mapping skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Sales experience is desirable but not essential
