Reporting to the State Transport Manager, the NSW Transport Optimisation Manager role is an integral part of our Transport Optimisation function for NSW and to provide cost, efficiency and service benefits to target. The role's primary driver is to satisfy safety and service requirements of the State's $250M transport spend in the most cost-effective way, leveraging fleet, source of supply and planning.

**Key Responsibilities
- Optimise NSW transport annualised spend - approx $250M
- Manage the NSW planning function - approx 5 - 7 direct reports
- Manage the governance of the NSW Transport Optimisation function to provide cost, efficiency and service benefits to target.
- Complete the costing of alternative network options on the Store Delivery function.
- Model optimising opportunities with an End-To-End viewpoint.
- Build communications documents for proposed or in train programs of optimisation to ensure engagement and buy in of various stakeholders
- Manage and support the change management approach for any approved optimisation initiative
- Driving the integration of the management and execution of PC+ within the State Transport Function
- Manage and provide input into NSW Store Delivery reporting and insights (ie identify reports and insights and manage to have these insights delivered). Execute the national projects and efficiencies and co-ordination of standardisation of processes (eg fleet utilisation, visibility, 2/3 pallets, d-pallets etc..)

**Essential
- Logistics development and commercial experience
- Experience in transport commercial structures and modelling
- Experience in operations / logistics/ supply chain / 3PL / fleet management Demonstrated success in influencing and leadership of change projects with multiple stakeholders.
**Desirable
- Formal qualifications in business or supply chain operations (Logistics / Commercial)
- Knowledge of Woolworths operating systems, practices, policies and procedures
- Experience in FMCG, Distribution, retail, people management, change management Transport modelling experience
