Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced chef to join our team in a permanent, full-time position.

The successful candidate will have a trade certificate in catering and possess excellent culinary preparation and service skills. Experience working in a clinical environment or preparing food for medical patients is highly desirable.

The role involves preparing and serving nutritious and delightful meals for patients, staff, visitors, and various functions at the hospital. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all meals are served in appropriate portions, at the correct temperature, and in accordance with our Food Safety Program and Nutritional Guidelines.
  • Adhering to all aspects of the Food Safety Standards of Australia and New Zealand.
  • Demonstrating a keen understanding and capability to meet the dietary needs of all customers, meticulously measuring ingredients to address specific dietary requirements.
  • Upholding a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Assisting in the procurement of food stock, ingredients supplies, and equipment.

To excel in this role, you must have exceptional time management and organisational abilities, coupled with the capacity to manage high-volume catering operations. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
