Young People's Healthcare Specialist

Job Description">

Deliver primary health care to young people and their children.

Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, refer, and advocate for the needs of vulnerable young people and their families.

Order and follow up on diagnostic tests, ensuring results are communicated and appropriate recalls are managed.

Collaborate with external providers, including general practices, specialists, and allied health services across the region.

Document clinical care accurately to meet medical, privacy, and reporting standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications">

Essential Qualifications:

  • Vocational Registration as a GP, with ongoing participation in quality assurance and continuing professional development.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a General Practitioner, with knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people and their families.

  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
