Job Title: Child Family Advocate
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Family Advocate to join our team. As a Child Family Advocate, you will work intensively with families at the point of crisis, providing short-term and intensive support to address immediate needs and develop a safety-focused plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with families to develop a safety-focused plan and provide intensive, in-home support
- Utilize a strengths-based approach to address protective concerns and build on parental strengths
- Collaborate with child protection and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive support plan
Requirements:
- Professional experience and relevant qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline
- Knowledge and experience working with families with complex needs, mental health, AOD, and family violence
- Good communication skills and ability to build relationships and rapport with families
