
Youth Support Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability.
Your primary responsibility will be to work within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment for the young people in our care. You will promote positive family relationships and community connections, while working within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
In this role, you will be part of a high-performing youth support team, delivering a positive customer experience to those in our care. You will work closely with other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans that meet the unique needs of each young person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to young people within a residential setting
- Promote positive family relationships and community connections
- Work within a trauma-informed framework to support young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or equivalent qualification. You will also need to hold a valid Australian full driver's license, a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid, and CPR qualifications.
You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. You will need to be flexible and willing to work a variety of shifts, including awake nights and sleepovers.
