Our organization is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to provide essential services to students in grades P-12.
Key Responsibilities:- Psycho-educational and diagnostic services for students in grades P-12
- Develop comprehensive program plans for students with challenging academic, behavioral, social-emotional and mental health needs
- Facilitate transition plans for students and support their inclusion in regular education settings
- Support staff in addressing children and youth with chronic school refusal and facilitate professional development for regional staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with outside agencies and professionals to support student mental health
- Masters in School Psychology or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent team building, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in assistive technology
- Knowledge of Inclusive Education Policy, Special Education Policy, Transition Planning in Nova Scotia, Code of Conduct, and Teacher Assistant Guidelines
