The role involves assisting clients with daily tasks such as meal planning and preparation, domestic chores, transportation, and supporting their cultural and linguistic needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting clients with meal planning, preparation, and cooking as required.
  • Providing transportation for clients to and from their destinations.
  • Acknowledging and responding to the needs of Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse individuals.
  • Accepting and respecting clients' rights to their own views, values, and preferences.
  • Building relationships based on trust with clients and their families or advocates.
  • Facilitating and encouraging activities that promote independence and well-being.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work flexibly and respond to changing situations. A safe and reliable vehicle is also essential.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain one.
  • Current Police Check.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate (current).
  • Valid Victorian driver's licence and a safe and reliable vehicle.
  • Working rights in Australia.
  • Capacity to meet the physical demands of the job.
