Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant to provide expert support and advice to our team members. The successful applicant will work closely with our staff at Fairfield and Rosemeadow Community Health Centres.

About the Role

This is a temporary full-time position, working 38 hours per week until 30/06/2028. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the fidelity of our programs across two sites and recruiting and engaging clients for a period of two years.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert knowledge and leadership to facilitate evidence-based practice in Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN).
  • Develop and implement clinical practice standards to ensure high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and consumer groups to promote a service that fosters clinical excellence, research, and professional leadership in CFHN.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • At least five years' full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least three years' full-time equivalent experience in Child and Family Health Nursing (CFHN).
  • Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field of CFHN.

  1. Demonstrated evidence of strategies used to maintain current knowledge of clinical practice advances and research in CFHN.
  2. Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
