Role Overview

This position is a key appointment in our healthcare services. The successful candidate will lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture.

The Clinical Nurse Educator role involves delivering and evaluating education programs for nursing staff in acute care, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, clinical standards, and professional development needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and assess clinical education to enhance care quality and outcomes

  • Apply adult learning principles to support compliance and strategic objectives

  • Mentor nursing staff to meet and maintain role-specific competencies

  • Facilitate bedside teaching using expert clinical and communication skills

  • Collaborate with management and educators to plan relevant learning activities

Requirements:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and/or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education

  • Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment
