Job Description
">Treatment Center Overview
">As a Patient Care Technician at DaVita, you will work in a dynamic outpatient dialysis center where patients receive treatment three times a week. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your patients and their families, providing compassionate care and support during this critical time.
Duties and Responsibilities
">Your primary responsibilities will include:
">- Providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed by the medical team.
- Assisting with hemodialysis treatments, ensuring accurate setup and maintenance of equipment.
- Collaborating with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participating in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of our treatment centers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- A high school diploma or equivalent required; BONENT certification preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in dialysis or a related field.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with occasional bending and stooping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and compassion when interacting with patients and colleagues.
