About the Role
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is seeking a Patient Transport Care Specialist to join our Mobile Patient Care team in Morwell. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient transport care in a non-emergency setting, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and provide individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient transport and care services
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure best practice in patient transport care
Requirements
- Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) or equivalent qualification
- Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. AHPRA)
- Proven experience in patient transport care or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Victorian Driver's License and ability to drive in both urban and rural areas
