Emergency Patient Care Specialist

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a renowned charity dedicated to providing high-quality emergency patient care in rural and remote Australia.
We are seeking highly skilled Ambulance Transport Attendants, Registered Nurses, and Paramedics for flexible casual positions in Morwell.
As an Emergency Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and treatment during on-road transport. Your key responsibilities will include:
Patient Assessment and Intervention
You will perform thorough patient assessments and provide timely interventions to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Patient Care and Treatment
You will provide high-quality patient care and treatment during on-road transport, adhering to all RFDS guidelines and regulations.
Communication and Teamwork
You will develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance), Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic), or equivalent qualification recognized by RFDS or DHHS.
Evidence of successful completion of required clinical placements and a Clinical Skills Assessment.
A minimum of 400 hours operational stretcher experience under direct supervision of a clinical instructor.
Successful completion of clinical skills assessment (e.g., stage 8).
Or, a Registered Nurse in the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia with an appropriate bridging course for practice in the non-emergency patient transport sector.
Desirable qualifications include experience working in the NEPT sector in an equal role, but not essential.
You must hold a FULL Victorian Drivers license and have the ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions.
