Mechanical Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled mechanical engineer to join our team in Adelaide.

The ideal candidate will have experience in pipeline design, piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment analysis.

As a key member of the team, you will work on various projects, including pipeline routing studies, construction methodology, and design criteria.

About the Project
  • Provide technical support in engineering processes for oil and gas pipelines.
  • Develop and support detailed design calculations, FEED, and concept design studies.
  • Assist in preparing scoping documents such as pipeline alignment sheets, equipment summaries, and tender packages.
  • Participate in risk assessments and related workshops.
  • Prepare cost estimates, write technical reports, and participate in project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document mechanical engineering systems from concept through to construction.
  • Conduct static equipment analysis and prepare piping and pressure vessel design documents.
  • Develop and apply engineering standards, systems, and processes.
  • Manage multiple projects independently with conflicting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, especially pipeline design, piping, and pressure vessels.
  • Proven experience in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • Knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian standards and regulations.
  • Progress towards or achievement of Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
