Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical and Pipeline Engineer to join our Adelaide office. In this role, you will provide technical support in engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines, develop and support FEED and concept design studies, and conduct mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction.

  • Provide technical assistance in the development of engineering designs for oil and gas pipelines.
  • Support the creation and implementation of FEED and concept design studies, including detailed calculations.
  • Assist in preparing scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodologies, design criteria, and pipeline alignment sheets.
  • Participate in risk assessments and workshops.
  • Possess the ability to create cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages.
  • Create design documents for piping and pressure vessels, and analyze static equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction.
  • Develop technical reports as required.

To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, with relevant experience. You should also possess 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, especially pipeline design, piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment analysis. Experience in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases, is highly desirable.

About the Role:

  • Pipeline Design: Develop and implement engineering designs for oil and gas pipelines.
  • FEED and Concept Studies: Support the creation and implementation of FEED and concept design studies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in pipeline design, piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment analysis.
  • Project Experience: Experience in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
