Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support in engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support the development of engineering and design processes for oil and gas pipelines.
  2. Participate in the development of FEED and concept design studies, including detailed design calculations.
  3. Contribute to the creation of scoping documents such as routing studies, construction methodology, design criteria, and pipeline alignment sheets.
  4. Engage in risk assessments and related workshops.
  5. Prepare and support cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages.
  6. Analyze piping and pressure vessel design documents and conduct static equipment analysis.
  7. Lead mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction.
  8. Write technical reports as needed.
About the Ideal Candidate
  • You should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field with relevant experience.
  • You should have 3-5 years' experience in mechanical engineering, especially pipeline design, piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment analysis.
  • You should have proven experience in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • You should be familiar with AS2885 and other relevant Australian standards, acts, and regulations.
  • You should have progress towards or achievement of Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia.
  • You should be able to manage multiple projects independently with conflicting deadlines.
  • You should have experience in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy industries.
  • You should have experience in developing and applying engineering standards, systems, and processes.
  • You should have excellent communication and report-writing skills.
