Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum

Job Description:

As a Traffic Engineer at Chandler Macleod, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing effective traffic management plans for our clients. This includes conducting assessments and investigations of traffic issues, preparing technical reports, and coordinating the installation of new traffic facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessment and investigation of traffic issues requested by stakeholders for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare technical reports and liaison with stakeholders as needed.
  • Design layouts for new traffic facilities, including roundabouts and carparks.
  • Conduct community consultation for traffic-related projects.
  • Coordinate the installation of new traffic facilities and maintenance of existing ones.
  • Attend site meetings with stakeholders as required.
  • Road safety audits of traffic facilities, including night audits.
  • Administer Works Zone and Swing or Hoist Goods Over Public Land applications.
  • Assist in developing traffic data collection strategies and analysis of traffic data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
  • Registered Professional Engineer or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in accordance with NSW registration laws.
  • RMS certification for the preparation and implementation of traffic control/management plans.
  • Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
