About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Room Officer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing traffic flow on both open roads and in tunnels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage traffic using various control systems
  • Collaborate with field staff, emergency services, and your team to respond to incidents
  • Create incident management and traffic management plans to ensure efficient and safe road operation
  • Analyse data to identify areas for process improvement
  • Communicate real-time information on road conditions to stakeholders, media, and customers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a monitoring centre or operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work flexible hours, including shifts
  • Knowledge of traffic management policies and practices
