As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for procuring stock according to the Demand Plan and Supply Planning parameters, ensuring stock availability at the right place, time, and quantities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining timely Purchase Order placement, chasing, canceling, and delaying actions to ensure timely delivery of Customer Orders while maintaining stock health & inventories within stocking policies and targets.
- Leading the resolution of supply constraints and calling out issues when vital to seek assistance to achieve desired outcomes as well as keeping all collaborators advised of any changes.
- Conducting Root Cause Analysis on fill rate misses, developing countermeasures, and reaching consensus on corrective actions with Demand and Inventory Planners and other collaborators.
- Performing standardized work to improve ATP (Available to Promise) and inventory availability and accuracy, while maintaining master data accuracy to enhance information quality and excellence in supply planning execution to achieve BAU critical metric objectives.
- Facilitating as well as partaking in SIOP & S&OE cycle of meetings for assigned portfolio and Divisions to drive standard processes.
- Leading weekly Demand and Supply meetings, preparing timely reports, identifying risks or opportunities, recommending actions, and driving follow-up to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities.
- Establishing regular supply review meetings with suppliers to enhance visibility, improve supply performance, and cultivate effective problem-solving and collaborative engagement.
- Providing input to Daily/Weekly/Monthly Management Boards with critical metrics to improve business performance and participating in PPI events.
- Ensuring all order entry input forms are complete and matched with quotes and/or Stock Authorization approvals before entering the ERP system.
- Targeting same day order entry with 100% accuracy to ensure timely placement of PO's.
- Investigating and responding promptly to customer queries, complaints, and return claims in coordination with internal and external partners.
- Following all corporate safety, training, and compliance requirements while maintaining cybersecurity vigilance to ensure the safety and security of business systems.
- Leading the timely delivery of ad-hoc project-based tasks assigned within the scope of job duties.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or a Science-related field is required; APICS certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain or commercial roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry, working with overseas suppliers and/or operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven experience working in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - both written and verbal, coupled with strong analytical capabilities.
- A process, results, and metrics focused individual with a proven passion for continuous improvement, optimization, and standardization.
- A positive can-do demeanor and comfortable communicating with leaders at all levels.
