Biospecimen Operations Expert

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical and operational support to ensure the efficient operation of the NSW Regional Biospecimen Services laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate day-to-day biospecimen technical support services across Callaghan and HMRI based programs.
  • Ensure quality control of laboratory setups with stringent adherence to protocols.
  • Provide specialist advice and general assistance to staff and students in relation to current biospecimen best practice.
  • Provide direct operational support to the blood processing and biobanking teams.

This position holds a central place within the Biospecimen Laboratory team, and your influence will resonate throughout all facets of the team's operations. As the expert, you will have the opportunity to establish the laboratory's ethos and have significant influence over its day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the laboratory, providing expert advice and guidance to staff and students, and establishing the laboratory's standards.
