Specialist Advisor for Aboriginal Children and Families

About Our Specialist Advisor Role:
Our team at the Child Wellbeing Unit seeks an experienced specialist advisor to join their Child Protection and Wellbeing experts. As a key member of the team, your role will involve providing strategic advice and support, fostering collaborations with stakeholders to enhance confidence, awareness, and effective responses to Aboriginal children and families for early intervention.
The position requires close collaboration with NSW Health workers to address vulnerable children, young people, and families. To succeed, you will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support to the team
- Develop and implement strategies to increase confidence, awareness, and appropriate responses to Aboriginal children and families
- Collaborate with NSW Health workers to respond to vulnerable children, young people, and families
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
- In-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and issues
