We are seeking a meticulous and experienced payroll professional to join our organization.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing employee payroll cycles, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Payroll Processing: Managing weekly payroll, including calculating wages, taxes, deductions, allowances, and expenses.
- Compliance & Reporting: Preparing and submitting payroll tax and statutory reports. Interpreting awards and agreements to ensure correct calculations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
- Reporting & Analysis: Managing superannuation and workers' compensation accounts, delivering timely remuneration and statistical reports, and providing data insights to support internal and regulatory reporting.
- Customer Service: Building strong relationships with internal and external contacts.
About You:
- You are a highly analytical and detail-oriented payroll professional with a proven track record of accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar end-to-end payroll role, ideally within a complex industry.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and award interpretation.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information.
