Job Role: Fund Accounting Specialist

This key position is integral to our middle and back-office operations, focusing on shadow NAV preparation, position and cash reconciliations.

  1. Prepare and maintain shadow NAVs for assigned funds to validate administrator-provided NAVs.
  2. Perform daily, weekly and monthly position and cash reconciliation across prime brokers, custodians and administrators.
  3. Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Daily workflow management, including trade capture and verification process, Corporate Action processing, fee accrual calculation and review, expense processing.
  5. Collaborate with front office, external fund administrators, custodians and prime brokers to ensure accurate data flow and issue resolution.
  6. Liaise with external service providers like tax agents and auditors.
  7. Work closely with the back-office team to streamline and enhance operational workflows.
  8. Complete ad hoc tasks and special projects as assigned by the team or management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fund accounting, fund operations in an asset management or fund administration environment.
  • Strong understanding of investment products (equity, fixed income, derivatives etc.).
  • Proficiency in Excel highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
