**Job Title:** Quality Assurance Officer

The role of the Quality Assurance Officer is to maintain a Defence Aviation Safety Authority’s (DASA) QMS requirements certification, assist personnel to achieve business management system compliance, and to assure conformance to business management system requirements.

Specific duties of the position include:

- Promote quality management system requirements;
- Support personnel to design, implement and maintain procedures;
- Maintain internal audit program schedule;
- Ensure timely responses to improvement activities; and
- Conduct internal audits.

**About DASA:** The Defence Aviation Safety Authority is responsible for enhancing and promoting the safety of military aviation through implementation of a Defence Aviation Safety Program that promotes a generative safety culture and independently assures effective management of Defence aviation safety risks.

DASA is a complex organisation consisting of Headquarters elements and six Directorates providing aviation safety assurance and specialist engineering services to the Defence aviation community.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Understanding of principles of ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems requirements;
- Experience playing a significant role in a Quality Management System team, specifically ability to conduct audits;
- Accomplishment in collaborating with stakeholders to identify, anticipate and respond to their needs and expectations to achieve work unit outcomes; and
- Ability to both work in a fast paced dynamic environment, whilst maintaining accuracy of information and record keeping.
