Aviation Safety Assurance is a critical function that involves planning, leading and reporting on continuing airworthiness oversight and enforcement activities.
This role requires the review of complex technical issues and the execution of appropriate technical delegations. To be successful, you will need to have strong analytical skills and be able to identify relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns.
The Aviation Safety Assurance Officer will be responsible for actively managing and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders within Defence and commercial organisations. This includes identifying relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve safety outcomes.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Aviation Safety Assurance Officer will also be accountable for contributing towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development of aviation continuing airworthiness assurance. This includes reviewing complex technical documentation, providing regulation advice to the aviation safety community and promoting education of the DASRs as required.
This role involves routine oversight and enforcement of organisations, requiring travel for onsite visits. The successful candidate will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
