Operations Planning Manager

Power and Water Corporation is seeking an experienced Operations Planning Manager to join our team in Darwin. As a key member of our System Control team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and reliability of power systems across the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic decisions to support the Northern Territory Government's renewable energy targets.
- Lead and develop the Operations Planning team to achieve high performance and job satisfaction.
- Manage compliance with the System Control Technical Code, including outage assessments, power system event investigations, and technical audits.
- Engage with stakeholders to maintain system security and reliability under diverse conditions.
- Conduct essential technical system studies to inform operational and strategic decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the power system operations.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the electricity supply industry, including generation, power system configuration, and optimisation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a large team.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at senior management and board levels.
- A degree in Power System Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
