Project Risk Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team as a Project Risk Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development of a central pillar in Australia's renewable energy transition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of fit-for-purpose risk management structures and systems, as well as high-level reporting. They will also guide, coach, and mentor the wider team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and implement a systematic approach to corporate and tactical governance, assurance, risk management, and policy.
  • Develop and implement whole-of-risk project assurance processes.
  • Drive improvements in the consistency of risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Embed risk, quality, and assurance structures into processes, systems, people capabilities, and reporting.
  • Provide risk assessment and costing of options to assist with investment decision-making for projects.
  • Develop all plans and processes required to deliver on Project Controls risk management functional excellence.
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams to ensure delivery and quality assurance.
  • Ensure activities related to risk mitigation tracking and risk status reporting are effective and implemented.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline.
  • Qualifications in project management (advanced diploma desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience as a risk manager or proven equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the development and approval of large-scale linear infrastructure projects will be desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative modeling across key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience collaborating across various construction stakeholders to identify risks and work collaboratively identified risks.
  • Advanced capability in risk software such as Palisade @Risk, and familiarity with other risk management tools.
  • Experience in contract management is desirable.
  • Experience leading multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Full Australian working rights.
