Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategic Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic development and management of our key initiatives.

About the Role:

  • Oversee the strategic development and management of our key initiatives in alignment with our organizational objectives;
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify and pursue growth opportunities;
  • Develop and execute specific client engagement opportunities that align with our business strategy;
  • Lead pitches and pursuits for new and existing clients;
  • Manage individual client relationship development for practice area, stream, and firm clients;
  • Support the development and marketing of emerging products and service areas;
  • Drive market profile raising and provide market/industry insight to key stakeholders;
  • Mentor and lead team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (business/legal/finance) coupled with legal/client development experience gained ideally from a professional services environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and proactively;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including influencing, persuading, and negotiating;
  • Strong project management skills and a proactive and pragmatic style;
  • Proven leadership skills, people/team management skills, resilience, and self-motivation;
  • Ability to work to competing deadlines with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
