**Strategic Leadership Opportunity:**

We are seeking a seasoned Director to drive the development of our long-range strategy, oversee enterprise reporting, and provide authoritative guidance on economic trends.

  • Lead the integration of AFSA's strategic planning frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop high-quality internal and external reports, including the Corporate Plan, to inform decision-making.
  • Interpret complex data and policy signals, providing system-level advice to guide agency positioning.
  • Offer expert guidance on economic feasibility and implications, informing strategic directions.
  • Establish and continuously improve enterprise performance measurement and evaluation frameworks.
  • Provide strategic foresight through scenario modelling and risk-informed planning.
  • Steward our insight ecosystem – connecting data holders, surfacing strategic questions, and reducing duplication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and the academic community to publish research that contributes to policy debate and establishes us as thought leaders in regulation and financial services.

**Requirements and Expectations:**

  • Post-graduate qualifications in economics, strategy, data science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in public sector strategy, performance reporting, or regulatory reform.
  • High-level critical thinking and policy modelling capabilities.
  • Strong track record in senior stakeholder engagement and executive advising.
  • Demonstrated established credibility in domestic and international forums.
