Regional Operations Director Job Description

This is a full-time role based in Brisbane, requiring regular travel across regional QLD to ensure consistent support across our operations. As Regional Operations Director, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote a culture of Zero Harm, encouraging colleagues to work safely and report any unsafe acts.
  2. Actively promote a safety culture across all projects, aiming for zero harm to personnel and the environment.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements on site.
  4. Investigate hazards, incidents, and unsafe work conditions, eliminating or reducing risks to acceptable levels.
  5. Report, investigate, and implement follow-up actions for incidents.
  6. Review and recommend improvements to existing Safe Work Procedures, encouraging best practice across Otraco operations.
  7. Support the attraction and onboarding of new personnel.
  8. Implement performance review and development plans for personnel.
  9. Manage client sites with qualified, competent personnel to deliver the scope of works.
  10. Perform routine site visits to Otraco contracts in the region, accomplishing the applicable Scope of Works.
  11. Conduct internal and external audits focusing on system compliance, safety, and tyre management.
  12. Prepare client reports meeting Otraco's professional standards, including recommendations on tyre performance and costs.
  13. Regularly meet with client representatives to discuss tyre performance and Otraco's service.
  14. Assist Otraco site teams in complying with Otraco and Client policies, procedures, and instructions, as well as relevant contractual obligations and KPIs.
  15. Support Otraco tyre life improvement programs at client sites.
  16. Develop and lodge monthly invoicing for responsible sites.
  17. Report on regional monthly performance.
  18. Promote a culture of continual improvement and 'best practice' across Otraco project teams.
  19. Conduct audits of Suppliers and assessment of Products to ensure effective delivery of service to clients.
  20. Assist with the development of the Otraco Group's market share, through active promotion of our array of Earthmover Tyre Management Services.
  21. Support any tender submissions for new Otraco projects.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  1. Extensive industry experience in the fitting of OTR tyres and management of mine-based OTR operations (10+ years).
  2. Extensive supervisory/area manager experience, specifically providing support to geographically dispersed teams.
  3. A current driver's licence.
  4. Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs, including Excel & Word.
  5. Good knowledge of OHS legislation, discipline, and practice.
  6. Auditing qualifications or previous auditing experience would be advantageous.
  7. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desired, not essential).
