We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Product Marketing to join our Marketing department in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic marketing direction for our CFD and Share Trading products.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to redefine the positioning of our platforms and articulate the value that CMC Markets offers to investors and traders across Australia. You will work closely with our Product Squads and the wider business to deliver a best-in-class offering with customer-led insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and clearly articulate the product marketing strategy, positioning, value proposition, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for our CFD and Share Trading products.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team, Sales, and Customer Services to build their product knowledge and provide them with insights, positioning, messaging, and content to succeed.
  • Assess the market, competitors, industry trends, and customer needs to inform product marketing plans.
  • Refine and maintain customer propositions based on feedback and changing buyer personas and customer needs.
  • Support the Product team with a prioritization process and framework to ensure customer-centricity in product and feature builds.
  • Develop a Voice of Customer (VoC) framework to provide customer feedback for product development and enhancements.
  • Drive the adoption, use, and advocacy of our CFD and Share Trading platform to achieve annual commercial targets.
  • Develop and deliver new product propositions for key customer segments across different markets.
  • Collaborate with the Product team and squads to evaluate our proposition in the market and suggest improvements or future growth.
  • Work closely with the Head of Growth Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager to ensure educational content is developed to drive effective upsell, cross-sell, and product stickiness.
  • Provide ongoing reporting on product marketing and GTM programs to drive continual improvements and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Strong product marketing experience (ideally 8+ years) with a proven track record of success.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years people management experience.
  • Curiosity and customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work with, analyze, and use data to make marketing decisions.
  • Commercial skills to understand the role a product feature plays within company strategy and commercial return on investment.
  • Knowledge of or passion for the financial markets and online share trading is essential.
  • Understanding of end-to-end campaign management, experienced in working with brand marketing teams, agencies, and digital teams to drive effective GTM programs.
  • Relevant university degree in business, marketing, or media/communications.
