About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Consultant to bridge the gap between our technology and customer needs. As a critical link, you'll translate technical capabilities into tangible benefits.
You'll work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, present tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless technical journey from initial engagement to deployment.
Key Responsibilities- Support the sales team with technical expertise during customer interactions and bid processes
- Deliver compelling product presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept activities
- Understand customer challenges and translate them into technical solutions using Camlin products
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to provide feedback on customer needs and market trends
- Assist in preparing detailed technical proposals, documentation, and system configurations
- Contribute to responses for tenders, RFIs, and RFPs
- Represent Camlin at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events as a technical expert
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Solid understanding of power systems, grid automation, or industrial monitoring solutions (knowledge of the rail sector is a plus)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in a customer-focused way
- Experience working in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or applications engineering role
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and customer engagements simultaneously
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and events
- Experience in the utilities or energy sector (especially with DNOs or rail infrastructure providers)
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, IoT platforms, or grid-edge technologies
