Experienced Butchers Wanted
Drakes Supermarkets has an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated meat department leader to join our Samford store in North Brisbane.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, and completing stock takes. Your exceptional leadership skills, combined with your butchery expertise, will drive the success of our meat department.
About the Role:
- Possess an Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
- Fresh food retail knowledge is desired
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Ability to order and control costs
- An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
- Accurate team rostering
- Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
- Unparalleled commitment to customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to liaise with both team members and management
- A flair for merchandising
- Strong leadership and delegation skills
- Ability to coach, train, and performance manage teams
- Commitment to work health and safety standards
