Meat Department Team Leader

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Assistant Manager to lead the store's meat department at our Samford store in North Brisbane.
The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the management of a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes, and contributing to the overall success of the store.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Meat Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the meat department
- Creating and managing staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods
- Generating and processing orders for meat products, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing stock levels
- Completing regular stocktakes to maintain accurate inventory levels and identify opportunities for cost savings
We are looking for an individual with excellent leadership skills, who can motivate and develop a high-performing team. The successful applicant should have a strong understanding of butchery practices, including ordering and controlling costs, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Commitment to work health and safety standards
We offer a competitive salary package of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, plus 10% company discount across all Drakes stores.
