IT Business Analyst Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to the success of our Data Centre Network Remediation Project.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business analysis, technical remediation, and stakeholder management. They will work closely with network engineers, IT operations, security teams, and clinical stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document requirements that will shape the remediation of the existing data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and documentation reviews.
  • Analyze current network pain points, technical debt, security vulnerabilities, and desired future state capabilities.
  • Translate complex technical remediation needs into clear Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Technical Requirements Documents (TRD).
  • Map and analyze current (as-is) and future (to-be) processes, data flows, and interdependencies.
  • Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for network changes.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, project management, and business/clinical units to facilitate communication and obtain sign-off on requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to validate technical solutions against business needs.
  • Assist in vendor proposal evaluations for hardware, software, and professional services.
  • Support test strategy development and review test cases to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably on large-scale IT infrastructure or network projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre networking concepts (LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Routing/Switching, Virtualisation, Cloud Connectivity).
  • Experience in network security and remediation projects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, bridging technical and non-technical groups.
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering methodologies (workshops, interviews, use cases).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
