Meat Department Leader

About the Role:
  • This position involves managing a team of staff members, creating schedules, ordering stock and supplies, conducting regular inventory checks, and developing strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • You will work closely with store management to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
Requirements:
  • Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
  • Fresh food retail knowledge is highly desirable
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing teams
  • Ability to create and manage rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
  • Accurate team rostering
  • Prioritization and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with team members and management
  • A flair for merchandising and visual displays
  • Ability to coach, train, and performance manage teams
