As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Production Supervisor and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the mine.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Production Supervisor, including coordinating daily activities, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational plans, procedures, and policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of mine operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between the Production Supervisor and other stakeholders, including contractors and external parties.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an open-pit mining environment, preferably in a coordinator or supervisor role.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Highly developed analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • A current Australian C-class driver's license.
  • Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor or enrolled to complete.
