About the role
The Program Coordinator, reporting to the Regional Manager, will manage the delivery of JCTS’ program within the region, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with key stakeholders, including GP Training’s operations team, medical educators, registrars, supervisors, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services. The role involves overseeing cultural awareness training, registrar placements, and organizing core training events. You’ll ensure compliance with accreditation standards, maintain program activity data, and respond to participant inquiries.
**As our Program Coordinator, you'll also**:
collaborate with the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health team to ensure cultural competency and support for registrars, including seamless delivery of cultural awareness training.
coordinate registrar placements and conduct community needs analysis in ACCHO/Aboriginal health training facilities.
manage training events, Cultural Observation Visits, and registrar transfer processes.
maintain program data, address participant inquiries, and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
Skills & Experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate program requirements effectively.
Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in a health context and experience in Aboriginal health or education.
Proven experience working in government, non-government, and community-controlled health services.
Proficient in MS Office, online learning management, CRM systems, with strong task coordination and a valid driver's license for travel.

About the JCTS
Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture between the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). JCTS facilitates shared GP training activities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives, cultural education, mentorship, and registrar housing in remote communities.
