About the Role

TasNetworks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Governance Lawyer to join their team as a Lead Counsel - Company & Compliance. This is a 15-month fixed-term opportunity that offers a healthy remuneration and benefits package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting good corporate governance and compliance practice within the TasNetworks Group. They will lead the Company Secretariat team, ensuring the proper functioning of Boards across the TasNetworks Group, and provide sound advice to the Board and management on good practice in corporate governance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a practicing certificate (or eligibility to obtain a practicing certificate) and at least 5 years' experience of PQE. Leadership experience, company secretary experience, and AICD/Governance Institute qualification are preferred.

You will have experience in company and compliance law, managing stakeholders across all levels, adapting to changing internal and external environments, independently advising on legal and compliance requirements, and preparing high-quality Board papers.
