Job Description:

We are seeking skilled trade professionals to join our team as Mechanical Fitters.

\

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for performing trade-related tasks such as overhaul, installation, and fit-out of mechanical equipment and acceptance testing on Bogies.

\

About the Role:

  • \
  • Perform trade-related tasks such as overhaul, installation, fit-out of mechanical equipment and acceptance testing on Bogies\
  • Accurately measure Bogie Components\
  • Inspect and interpret drawings and specifications to determine method of manufacture and standards\
  • Cleaning of Bogie parts when required\
  • Ensure active involvement in Lean practices\
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment\

Requirements:

  • \
  • Australian Fitter Trade qualification is highly desirable\
  • Locomotive overhaul experience\
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written\
  • Previous work experience in the rail industry is desirable\
  • Desirable but not essential to have forklift license\
  • Desirable but not essential to have crane dogging/operations tickets\
  • Full Australian Working Rights\
