About the Role
Carter Newell is seeking a passionate and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our Brisbane office on a part-time (0.8) or full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement our learning and development strategy and roadmap, including technical, compliance, professional, and corporate learning initiatives.
- Identify learning needs within the firm through job analysis, appraisal reviews, and consultation with partners, managers, and staff.
- Design and implement a variety of developmental initiatives, action plans, programs, and training material that meet individual and firm needs.
- Deliver training using a range of methods, including face-to-face, digital, and blended learning, ensuring the content is accessible, relevant, and engaging.
- Ensure all mandatory and compliance requirements are up to date and managed effectively.
- Maintain a knowledge of industry trends and innovation in instructional design and learning methodology.
- Participate in regular evaluation of courses to ensure that they are consistent with operational objectives and to facilitate ongoing improvement.
Requirements
- Self-motivated and extremely well-organized individual with an appetite for continuous learning and development.
- Genuine passion and interest in training and developing people.
- Strong L&D background with knowledge of L&D principles, practices, and frameworks.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and assessing experience in group facilitation.
- Experience with e-learning platforms.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement ability.
- Good understanding of principles of adult education and learning methodologies.
- Creativity and flexibility in designing, planning, and facilitating learning and assessment strategies.
- Adaptable to different personality types and learning styles.
