Global Director Position

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) function. This role will drive significant improvements in how we measure, learn from, and communicate our impact.

This leadership position requires a deep understanding of evaluation methodologies and the ability to develop and implement organizational strategies that drive evidence-based decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee the design and delivery of our global MEL function, ensuring projects and programs align with our charitable goals.
  • Evaluation Strategy: Lead the refresh of our MEL strategy, including a clear framework for evaluation approaches and methods.
  • Learning and Development: Introduce a learning strategy to embed organizational learning, support evidence-based decision-making, and inform strategic priorities.
  • Capacity Building: Shape the MEL operating model, including capacity management and capability building across the organization.
  • Talent Management: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of evaluation specialists across our core markets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective conduct, communication, and use of evaluation findings.
Requirements:
  • Education: Postgraduate degree in a health-related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in scientific, population health, or health policy roles.
  • Skills: Proven ability to develop and implement organizational MEL strategies in a health context, skilled in managing and developing high-performing teams, and strong track record in building organizational MEL capability.
  • Additional Requirements: Extensive experience in research and evaluation project design and implementation.
