Job Description

Our organization is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to specialize in marine electrical automation systems. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of marine systems, including PLC, SCADA, and bridge navigation systems.

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of marine electrical and automation systems onboard vessels and offshore platforms.
  • Lead or support commissioning activities for new marine automation installations.
  • Maintain and calibrate PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in bridge navigation and vessel automation systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for maintenance and commissioning activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Around 5 years of hands-on experience in marine automation or electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with bridge navigation systems, marine communication, and control systems.
  • Experience in offshore or marine environments is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel offshore or to shipyards as required.
