Marine Electrical Automation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrical Automation Specialist to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of marine electrical systems, including PLC, SCADA, and bridge navigation systems.
About The RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong understanding of PLC (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems, as well as familiarity with bridge navigation systems, marine communication, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical and automation systems onboard vessels and offshore platforms.
- Lead or support commissioning activities for new marine automation installations.
- Maintain and calibrate PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in bridge navigation and vessel automation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Around 5 years of hands-on experience in marine automation or electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with bridge navigation systems, marine communication, and control systems.
- Experience in offshore or marine environments is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel offshore or to shipyards as required.
- Knowledge of marine classification standards (e.g., DNV, ABS).
- Experience with HMI programming and system integration.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
