Automation/Commissioning Engineer

Job Title: Marine Electrical Systems Expert

  • Perform maintenance and repair of complex marine electrical and automation systems on vessels and offshore platforms.
  • Oversee commissioning activities for new marine automation installations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate PLC and SCADA systems to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Detect and resolve technical issues in bridge navigation and vessel automation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation for maintenance and commissioning activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Around 5 years of hands-on experience in marine automation or electrical systems.
  • Strong expertise in PLC (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with bridge navigation systems, marine communication, and control systems.
  • Experience working in offshore or marine environments is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required for work assignments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of marine classification standards (e.g., DNV, ABS).
  • Experience with HMI programming and system integration.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
