Job Title: Electrical Systems Specialist

Description:

  • This role is part of the commissioning team and involves ensuring safe work practices, facility turnover, and issue resolution for mission-critical electrical equipment.
  • The successful candidate will develop test scripts for electrical equipment and systems, attend customer equipment FWT/FAT, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • They will also perform equipment inspections to verify build adherence to vendor submittals and provide test documentation supporting design specification reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of electrical equipment and system test scripts to ensure smooth operation according to design specifications.
  • Participation in customer equipment FWT/FAT and coordination with vendors for timely delivery and installation.
  • Inspection of electrical equipment to verify build adherence to vendor submittals and provision of test documentation to support design specification reviews.
  • QA/QC of electrical equipment installation to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Assignment of test commissioning tasks to the electrical commissioning team members and execution of test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed by all on the commissioning team and the customer site.
  • Engagement with customers to ensure a positive experience, goal achievement, and schedule adherence.
  • Provision of daily reports for the electrical commissioning team status and conduct of facility walk-downs, turnover, and punch list reviews.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an electrical or engineering field or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data center commissioning or facility engineering/facility management.
  • Experience in data center construction/commissioning, electrical switching operations, equipment inspections, low and/or medium voltage equipment commissioning, LEED commissioning, Factory Witness Test/Factory Acceptance Test attendances, leading electrical commissioning processes, equipment/facility handover, and data center facilities operations.
