Electrical Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Automation Specialist to join our team, specializing in marine electrical automation systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electrical and automation systems onboard vessels and offshore platforms.
  • Lead or support commissioning activities for new marine automation installations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain and calibrate PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in bridge navigation and vessel automation systems, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design and implement system upgrades and improvements, leveraging technical expertise and business acumen.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation for maintenance and commissioning activities, facilitating informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Around 5 years of hands-on experience in marine automation or electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on technical expertise.
  • Expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and SCADA system design.
  • Familiarity with bridge navigation systems, marine communication, and control systems, with a focus on integration and compatibility.
  • Experience working in offshore or marine environments is highly preferred, with a willingness to travel as required.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of marine classification standards (e.g., DNV, ABS).
  • Experience with HMI programming and system integration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
