As a Compliance Officer – Risk Assurance, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization meets its regulatory obligations and maintains a strong risk management framework.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in compliance, risk management, and assurance, with a deep understanding of Australian legal, regulatory, and industry code obligations.

You will be responsible for providing second-line quality assurance reviews on various compliance topics, including data privacy, conduct compliance, and KYC related matters. Your expertise will also be essential in engaging with business stakeholders to present findings, identify improvement actions, and support key deliverables across the monitoring team.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can make a significant impact in this role. If you have a proven track record in researching, interpreting, and assessing compliance with applicable obligations, we encourage you to apply.

About the role:

  • Lead and perform second-line quality assurance reviews on various compliance topics such as Data Privacy, Conduct Compliance, and KYC related matters for corporate and retail customers.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to present findings, identify and track improvement actions.
  • Support key deliverables across the Monitoring team, including providing oversight across Compliance events and issues, developing reporting/insights, and ad-hoc projects as required.

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of Australian legal, regulatory, and industry code obligations
  • Minimum 5 years' financial services experience
  • Experience or strong exposure to within risk management, compliance, assurance, and/or audit
  • Proven experience in researching, interpreting, and assessing compliance with applicable obligations
