Senior Backend Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced backend engineer to join our team. As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products and platform.

You will think and operate like a Product Engineer, collaborating cross-functionally to deeply understand our customers, anticipate risks and trade-offs, and design secure, scalable solutions that power financial access for millions:

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex software systems, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, scalability, and security.\
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.\
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and accessible to all stakeholders.\
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills.\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.\
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure.\
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, and clients, providing clear, concise, and timely updates on progress and any challenges encountered.
\Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.\
  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on system architecture, design, and implementation.\
  • Expert-level knowledge of programming languages, including Java, Python, and C++. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.\
  • Experience with agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git.\
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.\
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.\
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
