About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled leader to join our team as the Deputy Chief Executive, Child Protection Services Leader. This is a pivotal role that will shape and lead the strategic direction of child protection services in South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Lead a diverse and highly skilled team to deliver best practice child protection services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government, non-government organisations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Drive service delivery reforms and ensure effective management of strategic and operational policies in a high-risk environment.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Executive to align with the government's strategic priorities and respond to the recommendations from the Child Protection Systems Royal Commission.

Requirements:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within the public sector, with a proven track record of driving successful system and service delivery reforms.
  • Strategic leadership skills to manage complex and high-stakes environments effectively.
  • Deep understanding of child protection issues and services within South Australia, with a commitment to improving outcomes for children, particularly Aboriginal children, and young people.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence change, fostering strong relationships with government, non-government organisations, and other key stakeholders.
  • A dedication to driving organisational excellence, with a focus on managing and developing high-performing teams.
